Cinderella’s Closet Formal Dress Give – Away’s – We offer formal dresses, shoes, and accessories to any young lady in need for free. We offer this service for 8th Grade Farewell Dance, Homecoming Dances, and Prom. No young lady will ever be charged.

Life Skills Sessions – We offer classes for the young ladies including: Budgeting, How To Write a Resume, How To Interview, Basic Home Skills, Basic Cooking, Basic Car Maintenance, Sewing, Knitting, Etiquette, and more. Young ladies who complete the classes will be given a professional outfit of their selection, and more to help support them on their journey to their happy ever after!
We are currently putting together a program for young gentleman and hope to release dates in early 2023!
Community Mentoring – Once the young ladies complete the Life Skills Sessions, they will be connected with Community Mentors to help guide them through the process of transition into womanhood and the workforce.
Tutoring – We have partnered with Michigan State University to offer FREE tutoring services to young ladies and gentlemen. Register now by clicking the Class Registration Request button. We will accommodate walk-in appointments as space allows, but we prefer that all students pre-register so we can assure enough tutors are present for the specific subjects the student requires.

Classes Available: Tuesdays from 5:30pm to 7:30pm
Beginner’s Knitting – This class will teach students the basics of knitting and will create clothes or hats.
Financial Planning – This class teaches young ladies the basics of banking and how to successfully budget so they can make wise decisions as they transition to adulthood.
Cooking Basics – This class teaches young ladies basic kitchen safety and the preparation of budget friendly and nutritious meals.
Resume Writing/Interview Skills – This class assists young ladies in creating a resume and cover letter, as well as teaching interview skills to land them their dream job.
Etiquette – Thanks to Biggby Coffee’s sponsorship, young ladies will be taught social, business and formal etiquette, including a free dinner service so they understand eating etiquette as well.
CPR – Students may use this skill once completing this class with their certifications, which is a great resume builder and can be life-saving should the situation arise.
Beginner’s Car Maintenance – This class is in part sponsored by Ruhlman Race Cars and taught by two female mechanics. The young ladies will learn how to change a tire, perform an oil change and understand the basics of automobile safety.
